You might be thinking “I can’t help advance solar policy! I’m just one person!”, but this is not the case. There are many steps that YOU as an individual can help promote changes for renewable energy:
- Speak with local legislators about policy changes that promote residential and communal solar, such as altering Kansas’s current net metering system and further detailing PPAs. (https://openstates.org/find_your_legislator/)
- Support local advocacy groups for renewable energy and participate in their events and messages (i.e. Climate and Energy Project)
- Keep spreading the word about Kansas solar policy to increase awareness! You can hand out our one pagers to help do this!
